These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Jalan mobile application, website, account services, and related application programming interfaces (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are operated by MOPy Studio Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore ("Jalan", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Jalan Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use Jalan on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Jalan. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Jalan is a transport information utility. It may display live and scheduled public transport information, bus arrivals, train information, taxi availability, parking, EV charging, traffic incidents, traffic cameras, maps, notifications, and other journey-related content. Most features can be used without an account. An optional account lets you synchronise supported favourites and use related account features.
Nearby features may require device location. You control this permission through your device settings and may revoke it at any time; affected features may then use a general Singapore view or require manual search. Our handling of location is described in the Privacy Policy.
Jalan is an independent service. It is not an emergency service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official application of the Land Transport Authority, public transport operators, Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenStreetMap, or any advertiser unless expressly stated.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures. Notify us promptly at support@mopy.studio if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may delete your account in Jalan or through the account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and removes the account and synchronised server data described on that page. Information stored only on your device must be cleared separately.

Transport, traffic, map, crowd, arrival, parking-rate, toll, and availability information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed by its source without notice. Predictions are estimates, not guarantees. Always follow official signs, announcements, staff instructions, traffic rules, and conditions around you.
Do not rely on Jalan alone for a last bus or train, medical appointment, flight, or another time-critical or safety-critical journey. Check official transport sources and allow a suitable margin. Car-park counts, EV-charger availability, traffic incidents, and maps may reflect the last successful update rather than current conditions.
Parking prices, operating hours, free-parking periods, vehicle restrictions, gantry heights, capacities, and ERP charges may change or be subject to conditions not shown in Jalan. A displayed rate may exclude taxes, surcharges, event pricing, season parking, grace periods, or operator-specific rules. Availability is not a reservation or a guarantee that you can enter or park. Check the signs, equipment, and operator terms at the location before entering, parking, or paying; they prevail over information shown in Jalan.
Do not interact with Jalan while driving or in any situation where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful. Jalan must not be used for emergencies. Contact the appropriate emergency service or transport operator when urgent assistance is required.
The free version of Jalan may display clearly presented banner campaigns supplied through our advertising system. Campaign destinations and advertised products or services are provided by third parties. Unless expressly stated, Jalan does not endorse them and is not responsible for transactions between you and an advertiser.
Jalan may offer a non-consumable "Remove Ads" purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing, refunds, payment methods, family sharing, and store-account availability are governed by the applicable store's terms. Jalan verifies a valid store transaction before enabling the entitlement. The entitlement removes eligible Jalan banner campaigns; it does not remove third-party content that is integral to a transport or mapping service.
The purchase is associated with your app-store account and may be restored on compatible devices using that account. We may change the price offered for future purchases; completed purchases are unaffected.
Where required by applicable law, your statutory rights concerning digital purchases remain unaffected. Refund requests should normally be submitted through the store that processed the payment.
Jalan relies on and may link to third-party data, maps, cloud services, notification services, app stores, advertiser sites, and identity providers. Their services, content, availability, terms, and privacy practices are controlled by those third parties. Opening an external link leaves Jalan, and you should review the third party's terms and policies before proceeding.
Jalan's software, design, branding, and original content are owned by MOPy Studio Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services on devices you own or control for your own non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Government transport information may be obtained from the following LTA pages: DataMall Dynamic Datasets, DataMall Static Datasets, Rail Network, and Bus Services. Parking information may also come from HDB Carpark Information, HDB Carpark Availability, and the URA data services. Data is used subject to the terms or licence applicable to each source. Applicable data published on data.gov.sg is subject to the Singapore Open Data Licence. Jalan is independently developed and does not represent, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, the Singapore Government, LTA, HDB, or URA.
Background map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is governed by the OpenStreetMap copyright and ODbL information. Jalan renders it with MapLibre using the open-source Protomaps basemap style and Jalan-hosted PMTiles. Open-source components are listed in the app, and Nata Sans is provided under the SIL Open Font License. Those licences govern the relevant third-party material.
We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve Jalan, address security or legal requirements, respond to provider changes, or manage operational constraints. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise that every feature or data source will always be available on every device or in every location.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that transport predictions, routes, maps, alerts, or other information will be uninterrupted, error-free, current, complete, or suitable for a particular journey, parking decision, or payment. We do not warrant information supplied by third parties, but this does not remove any duty that applicable law requires us to exercise with reasonable care. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MOPy Studio Pte. Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss arising from reliance on delayed or inaccurate transport or parking information, a failed journey or parking decision, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Jalan is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Jalan in the 12 months before the claim and SGD 50. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that applicable law makes non-excludable.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Services or users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will take account of the nature and seriousness of the issue. You may stop using Jalan at any time and may delete your account as described above.
We may update these Terms when features, providers, business practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app. Continuing to use the Services after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. The courts of Singapore will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory law in your place of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
If you obtained Jalan from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and MOPy Studio Pte. Ltd., not Apple. The licence in section 8 is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Jalan.
If Jalan fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price paid for Jalan, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. MOPy Studio Pte. Ltd., not Apple, is responsible for product support and claims relating to Jalan, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, consumer-protection, privacy, and intellectual-property claims.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not listed on a United States Government restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Jalan. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
